2012 Calendars
Every year my work puts out a calendar with HIV/AIDS prevention and care messages being the main focus. This past year I was lucky enough to work with two very talented artists and my youth staff to help put together this upcoming year's calendar. Below are a few samples of how it should turn out. If anyone is interested in having one back home just shoot me an email and I can see what I can bring in December - almost one month til I'm US bound for a visit!

Workman Resort: Parasites Are Most Welcome
My liver is currently host to a lovely guest known as schistosomiasis. Now before family back home starts freaking out I am on treatment and am feeling much better then I did a couple of days ago. See I thought I might get schisto while I'm living here in Uganda because I spend more time than I should swimming, kayaking and rafting in the Nile, but I apparently still have my infallibility complex. I won't describe my symptoms verbatim, but I will say that I have felt like a train has repeatedly run into my body for the past 48 hours. The treatment should help me feel better by tomorrow which I'm praying for since Moses' Introduction in Masaka is tomorrow.
Here's a picture for my more sciency friends - enjoy.
